The Ezekiel Elliott era in Dallas has officially come to an end this offseason.

The move came as Elliott began to show signs of decline over the past couple of seasons and Tony Pollard broke out as the team’s best option at the position.

Zeke had a chance to take a pay cut to stay with the Cowboys in order to make room for them to pay for both him and Pollard’s franchise tag.

He opted instead to head for free agency.

Now fans are waiting to see where the former top 5 pick could end up playing next.

There wasn’t expected to be a huge market for Elliott right now with players like Dalvin Cook and Austin Ekeler potentially being traded and other solid running backs available in free agency. However there has already been one possible suitor revealed.

NFL reporter Matt Lombardo revealed that the he has been hearing the Buffalo Bills are a team to watch for Zeke.

The Buffalo Bills have spent years looking for an answer at running back. They’ve recently drafted Devin Singletary, Zack Moss, and James Cook and traded for Nyheim Hines.

Still, they haven’t been able to find a dependable option at the position to complement their explosive passing attack.

Despite Elliott’s history as a starting running, he may not be the answer the Bills are looking for at the position after averaging just 3.8 yards per carry last season.

The Bills should absolutely be in the market for a running back as they try to bring some balance to their offense, but Zeke just hasn’t played at a level that shows he’s the player they need.
