Wrestling legend Ric Flair got duped by a fake booking scam for The Joe Rogan Experience. The podcast’s host later found out about it and apologized.
Flair last appeared on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience in 2023. In late 2025, he announced that he had been invited to appear on the show for a second time. The WWE Hall of Famer said he was going to go after all the people who had taken issue with some of his behavior of late during said appearance.

Someone scammed Ric Flair into thinking he was going back on the show
It never happened. Because Flair was never actually invited back to appear on the show. Something Joe Rogan made clear when he apologized to the wrestling great on a recent episode of his show.
“I’ve got to apologize to Ric Flair,” Rogan said. “He got scammed. So, some person reached out and said that they were representing this podcast and that he was going to come on the podcast.
“I think, Tim Dillon, this happened with him too. It didn’t happen with him where they got him, but they send you an email saying that they’re going to have you come on a podcast, but they need your bank information. Yeah, they’ll pay you. Sometimes it’s like $3,000 because I’ve got those, too.
“And what it really is, is they’re just going to empty your bank account, and it’s just a scam. So, if you get an email like that from me, it’s not real. Sorry, Ric Flair.”
