There’s no shortage of beef to go around in the world of college football, and it’s safe to say there’s no love lost between a couple of guys who have ramped up one of the more unexpected feuds to unfold in recent memory: Ric Flair and Paul Finebaum.

Jim Harbaugh struck up a somewhat unlikely friendship with Ric Flair when he was playing for the Bears in the late 1980s, so it wasn’t a huge shock to see the electric professional wrestler known as “Nature Boy” come to his defense in the wake of the sign-stealing scandal that Michigan ended up at the center of this season.

Harbaugh and the Wolverines endured a hurricane of controversy fueled by the countless critics who were understandably rubbed the wrong way by the accusations against the program—a group of detractors that included Paul Finebaum, the SEC Network staple who was not shy about calling out Michigan for supposedly undermining the integrity of the sport he’s devoted his career to.

Earlier this month, Flair and Finebaum found themselves engaged in a public war of words, and on Sunday, the latter continued to poke the bear when he said the pro wrestler is “washed-up” and “scraping for dollars” during an appearance on The Matt Barrie Show.

Well, it appears Flair took exception to those comments.

On Sunday night, Nature Boy hopped online to clap back at Finebaum with a fiery message, saying:

Hey @finebaum, I Spent More Money On Spilt Liquor From One Side Of The World To Another Than You Made Last Year. Stop Kissing Georgia’s A–! I’ll See You On January 6th In Charlotte- FLAIR COUNTRY (Which You’re Lucky To Live In) For Collision & I’ll Reserve You 2 Front Row Tickets Because God Knows You Can’t Afford To Buy Them! When You Had Me On Your Show.

I Was “The Great Ric Flair.” I Still Am & I’m Bigger And Better Than Ever At 74! Let’s Compare W2s Sir! And Also, Your 800k Followers Is Nothing Compared To My 10 Million! FYI- Don’t Ever Joust With The Dirtiest Player In The Game! WOOOOO!”

At this point, you’d think Finebaum might just want to move on. With that said, he’s also an entertainer at heart, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if this saga takes yet another turn.
