Rick Porcello Had An A+ Response To Kate Upton Coming Unhinged Over How He Shouldn’t Have Won The Cy Young

On Wednesday night Kate Upton very unexpectedly joined the likes of Kristin Cavallari and Miko Grimes as a WAG who has very strong opinions about her sports bae.

Using profanity, sexual references and even a chart at one point, Upton launched an epic rant about how her man Justin Verlander should have won the Cy Young award over Rick Porcello.

Upton even engaged with some of the Twitter trolls out there. Always a mistake.

So what did the guy who actually DID win the American League Cy Young Award, Rick Porcello, think about Upton’s unhinged diatribe? Not much at all because he was too busy drinking wine to care.

“No. I honestly don’t care,” Porcello told the Boston Herald’s Evan Drellich when asked if he cared about Upton’s reaction. “I’m not the one that made that decision as far as who wins the Cy Young. All I know is I’ve got a lot of people around me right now that I love very much and have been instrumental in my success in getting to this point, and on top of that we’ve got some really good bottles of wine that still need to be drank. There’s not really a concern in my mind.”

“You know, it is what it is. The decision was made and those are decisions that we don’t get paid to make. We just get paid to throw the ball and try and win games and try and win a World Series.”

Little tip from someone who is a fan, Kate. Despite the fact that your statistical arguments were pretty solid, on Wednesday night you almost went full Miko. Never, ever go full Miko.
