New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski lost his cool during the Bills-Patriots game on Sunday. Watch as a frustrated Gronk, who felt he was being held while running his route, delivers a cheap shot on Bills corner Bills CB Tre’Davious White after a late Patriots interception. Gronk was somehow not ejected for the cheap elbow to the back from the refs.
People on Twitter were pretty pissed that Gronk was not ejected for the late hit.
Everyone's favorite meathead, Gronk, just committed the dirtiest play of the NFL season. He should be suspended next week. That was awful.

NFL probably won't suspend Gronk for this, but why shouldn't they? Blatantly illegal hit on an opponent who's totally unsuspecting, long after the play is over. https://t.co/GRyq0ojRz3

Gronk has been dominating all game while getting held. The refs just don’t apply the same rules to him. The cheap shot on White was likely just frustration boiling over

First of all … how was that not pass interference or holding on White. He was clearly all over Gronkowski.
Second … that was not cool Gronk.— Raul Martinez (@RaulNBCBoston) December 3, 2017
The league will definitely look at this play later this week, While Gronk was probably right to be frustrated, he was being held during the play, it’s not cool for him to go after a defenseless player just lying down on the field.
Update: After the game, Gronk apologized to White for the hit.
Gronk on his late hit: "Just wanna apologize to Tre'Davious White. I don't really believe in type of shots like that."

I definitely want to apologize to #27, I’m not in the business of that, I was just really frustrated at the moment. It just happened naturally through emotions and frustrations. I want to apologize to Tre’Davious White I don’t really believe in those type of shots like that but just in the frustration process, game of football emotions. It’s just what happened.
“I just don’t understand why there wasn’t a flag (for DPI). It was a couple times in the game, and they’re calling me for the craziest stuff ever. And it’s crazy, like what am I supposed to do? And then they don’t call that. It was just frustration.”
