Gronk Somehow Doesn’t Get Ejected After Delivering Dirty Cheap Shot After Bills Interception

New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski lost his cool during the Bills-Patriots game on Sunday. Watch as a frustrated Gronk, who felt he was being held while running his route, delivers a cheap shot on Bills corner Bills CB Tre’Davious White after a late Patriots interception. Gronk was somehow not ejected for the cheap elbow to the back from the refs.

People on Twitter were pretty pissed that Gronk was not ejected for the late hit.

The league will definitely look at this play later this week, While Gronk was probably right to be frustrated, he was being held during the play, it’s not cool for him to go after a defenseless player just lying down on the field.

Update: After the game, Gronk apologized to White for the hit.

I definitely want to apologize to #27, I’m not in the business of that, I was just really frustrated at the moment. It just happened naturally through emotions and frustrations. I want to apologize to Tre’Davious White I don’t really believe in those type of shots like that but just in the frustration process, game of football emotions. It’s just what happened.

“I just don’t understand why there wasn’t a flag (for DPI). It was a couple times in the game, and they’re calling me for the craziest stuff ever. And it’s crazy, like what am I supposed to do? And then they don’t call that. It was just frustration.”
