The “NFL script” has been a hot topic throughout the league as it’s kind of turned into an inside joke amongst football fans.
Former and current players have made plenty of jokes about the script as well, but there is no proof that a script actually exists (Nobody actually thinks it’s real, right?).
With that said, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell cracked some jokes about the script in regards to the Kansas City Chiefs-Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl.
He received a solid reaction from Chiefs fans in attendance, as it was actually pretty funny hearing Roger Goodell reference the NFL script jokes.
No one loved last season's script more than the Kelce brothers. 😂 (via @newheightshow) pic.twitter.com/gAirbyaNwV

There’s nothing wrong with having some fun. Especially during the offseason when there isn’t much buzz circulating around the league outside of rumors.
So, why not mess with the fans a little bit?
However, people on Twitter seemed to have a different opinion, as Goodell is still not well received by most football fans.
confirming the league is rigged for the chiefs not surprised

If the NFL and Roger Goodell are taking requests for the next script, I’d like to throw a vote in for my Tennessee Titans to win the Super Bowl.

There are just some plays that are impossible to script.

At the end of the day, this isn’t a big deal in the slightest. Roger Goodell is just trying to have a little fun during the boring portion of the offseason.
With that said, there are plenty of rumors still floating around the league to keep fans preoccupied.
