The Seattle Seahawks appear to be interested in trading for Texans QB Deshaun Watson just a day after trading away Russell Wilson.

On Tuesday, the Seahawks received a massive haul from the Broncos for Wilson, including two first-round draft picks.

The Seahawks are now reportedly considering using the picks they acquired in the Wilson trade to go after Watson.

Now that the Seattle Seahawks have traded franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, they’ve created a huge void at the most important position in the NFL. The Seahawks, if they’re going to be a contender, can’t rely on former Broncos first-round draft pick Drew Lock as the answer under center. The Seahawks are interested in Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson and are expected to explore trade scenarios for the three-time Pro Bowl passer, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.

The Seahawks have the draft capital to trade for Watson. That includes a first-round draft picks (ninth overall from the Broncos), two second-round draft picks (40th from the Broncos and 41st) and some good players, including safety Jamal Adams and wide receivers D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Watson has a no-trade clause in his four-year, $156 million contract and would have to sign off on any prospective trade under the terms of his deal.

The Seahawks will have to wait for Watson’s legal situation to clear up before pursuing him this offseason. Watson is currently facing 22 civil complaints after being accused of sexual assault by various massage therapists. The Texans’ QB will face a grand jury on Friday, which could ultimately provide some clarity on his future.
