Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf cost his team an easy touchdown and fans aren’t happy.
In the second quarter of today’s Seahawks-Cowboys game, Seahawks QB Russell Wilson was able to connect with Metcalf on a deep pass. Unfortunately, Metcalf pumped the brakes before scoring and had the ball poked away by Cowboys Trevon Diggs for a touchback.
Russell Wilson throws another GORGEOUS deep ball, DK Metcalf hauls it in. And then this happens.
That’s a touchback. Heads up play by rookie DB Trevon Diggs.

And this, kids, is why you don’t celebrate before you actually score.
DK Metcalf lets up, loses the touchdown and the ball.
Ouch.

Of course DK Metcalf got crushed by football fans.
DK Metcalf costs himself a long touchdown reception as Cowboys rookie corner Trevon Diggs recovers and punches the ball out of Metcalf’s possession and out of the end zone just before Seattle receiver crosses the goal line. Seahawks lose a 56-yard TD.
