In the end, it was a close fight through and through. Some fans agree with Sean Strickland, while others think the scoring was accurate. That’s pretty typical when a fight ends in a split decision. Regardless, it’s not every day a UFC fighter calls out the judging crew like that.
Perhaps a change could be on the horizon. We’ve had some incredibly questionable judging through the years. Especially these past two cards, as Paddy Pimblett’s controversial win is still fresh on the mind. It’s part of the reason why Dana White tells every fighter to not let fights go to the scorecards.
Regardless, we’re sure Sean Strickland will bounce back from this as we’re bound to see him again in 2023. Meanwhile, Jared Cannonier continues to keep rising in the middleweight division.
