ESPN’s Ryan Clark has a theory about why Shedeur Sanders’ draft stock continues to fall. Last week, NFL insider Josina Anderson reported that one anonymous QB scout was turned off by Sanders’ “brash” and “arrogant” attitude during his team interview.

NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry went on to report that two different teams felt Sanders was “unprofessional” during his interview.

“I spoke with two people on two different teams that met with Sanders, and completely independently of each other, they had the exact same things to say,” Berry reported. “They both said it was a bad meeting and that he came off as unprofessional and disinterested. Both also said that after the meeting they had a lesser opinion of him than prior. These same people both met with Cam Ward as well, and both said they loved Ward, and it was a great meeting.”

Sanders slammed reports of his draft stock falling during a recent livestream with Bradley Martyn.

“Everybody tryna make my stock drop right now, please don’t believe the media,” pleaded Sanders.

On Wednesday, Clark addressed the various reports ahead of the draft, and he believes racism may be at play regarding Sanders.

“It’s not just about him being Deion Sanders’ son. It’s about the bravado he carries. It’s about the fact that he looks a certain way. It is about the fact that the color of his skin sometimes at the position can be questioned.”

There’s still a lot of time between now and the NFL draft, it’ll be interesting to see if draft stock reports regarding Sanders hold up or if gets drafted early on as previously projected by many.
