Shedeur Sanders is not messing around when it comes to his final season of college football at Colorado. It is what he called a “business year.”

The 22-year-old quarterback even got a new haircut to prove it.

This entire discussion is a testament to where we are in the sports calendar. NBA and NHL playoffs are dying down, college sports will wrap up with the NCAA baseball tournament this weekend, and football is slowly starting to peek over the horizon. As such, us sickos are chomping at the bit to talk pigskin.

A haircut is big news at this time of the year!!

Sanders was previously rocking long, twisted braids. They stuck out from the back of his helmet at the Buffaloes’ spring game last month.

Not anymore!

Sanders debuted his new look at Colorado’s Memorial Day Cookout over the weekend. He looks so much younger.

His reason for the cut is simple: it’s time to lock in. No outside distractions. No fashion shows.

Football is the primary focus for Shedeur Sanders over the next six (or seven if the Buffs can make a bowl game like Deion Sanders promised) months. A national championship is the main goal. Becoming the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft might be even more important to the son of Coach Prime.

C’mon man, it’s a business year. I handle business, stand on business… everything business, bruh.

Colorado’s starting quarterback trimmed his hair back to how it was during his time at Jackson State. Sanders balled out in Mississippi before transferring with his dad out to Boulder.

Last year was a bit of a struggle. The Buffaloes’ offensive line was terrible and they completely lacked any semblance of a run game. Sanders actually completed 69.3% of his passes for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns with only three interceptions, but he was sacked 52 times and Colorado didn’t make a bowl game at 4-8 after starting the year at 3-0.

This year is a business year!

If Shedeur Sanders can win a few more games, take a few less sacks, and continue to ball out through the air, he could end up being the first signal-caller off of the board next April. It is a weaker class of quarterbacks, which also helps.

Will the new haircut be the difference?
