Simone Biles was very glad that the Packers played Saturday’s NFC Divisional Round game against the 49ers in San Francisco. She didn’t have to endure the frozen tundra that is Green Bay — although “the coldest winter that Mark Twain ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.”
I digress.
Biles was there to support her husband, Jonathan Owens, as she often is. And you already know that she got a ‘fit off.
The seven-time Olympic gold medalist was on the sideline with her two much taller friends. A photo of them all standing next to each other reflects a pretty staggering height difference.
Biles is only 4-foot-8. Her friends are, well, not 4-foot-8!
The woman on the right is A.J. Dillon’s wife, Gabrielle. The woman in the middle is Jon Runyan Jr.’s fiancée, Victoria Schultz. It is still so awesome that legendary 14-year NFL offensive lineman (and U.S. Representative?) Jon Runyan has a son, Junior, who also plays offensive line in the NFL.
Runyan Jr. stands 6-foot-4. He is taller than his future wife, but not by that much. She is probably about 5-foot-8? 5-foot-10? I don’t know.
Tori hooped at Loyola Marymount but it doesn’t list her height on the roster. That’s no help.
The point is that soon-to-be-Runyan is no less than 11 inches taller that Biles and it creates a very funny dichotomy in their friendship. Especially because the three of them are like that — so they’re always together, especially on the road.
Simone Biles, Tori Schultz, and Gabrielle Dillon are a killer trio that align perfectly by height. They represent all levels of the spectrum, with the running back’s wife standing firm as the median.
According to Dillon’s Instagram story, they went back up to a box in time for kickoff and some of them were crushing espresso martinis. Go Pack!
