Loyola-Chicago will have its good luck charm on hand for its first-round matchup with Ohio State as Sister Jean is expected to be in attendance.
According to Mike McDaniel of Sports Illustrated, the 102-year-old religious sister is traveling with the team to Pittsburgh to watch her Ramblers take on the Buckeyes.
Sister Jean became a college basketball legend back in 2018 when Loyola-Chicago shocked the world making the Final Four that season. Fast-forward to 2022, and Sister Jean is still the unofficial mascot for the Ramblers, who enter the tournament as a 10 seed.
College hoops fans certainly haven’t forgotten about Sister Jean, they’re thrilled with the news of her traveling with the team.
