West Wilson does not see eye-to-eye with Sophie Cunningham. The reality television star offered a different perspective from his podcast co-host and lifelong friend on the role of transgender athletes in women’s sports.

He does not understand why it is made out as such a big deal when there are much larger issues to worry about.

This seems like a direct rebuttal to the most polarizing player in the WNBA. They will have to address their disagreement!

Sophie Cunningham wants to “protect little girls” from transgender athletes in youth sports.

There are very few female athletes who have seen a greater rise in popularity over the last two years than Sophie Cunningham. Not only does the Indiana Fever forward play alongside the biggest star in women’s basketball, she is very outspoken

Cunningham does not shy away from controversy and will always speak her truth. It has made her a household name.

Perhaps most notably, Cunningham has always been vocal with her opinion on transgender athletes in women’s sports. She recently addressed her political views during a feature profile with ESPN, which touched on the topic.

“I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans. And I’m like, ‘I never once said that.’ I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”

Stephen A. Smith agreed with Cunningham, who later doubled down on what she says is “common sense.” Biological men should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

Meanwhile, Cunningham’s Adidas sneakers sold out in just one hour. Her popularity continues to explode.

West Wilson does not see eye-to-eye with his podcast co-host.

She started her podcast ‘Show Me Something’ with co-host West Wilson exactly 12 months ago. Wilson, one of the primary cast members on the reality television show Summer House, grew up with Cunningham at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri. They even played on the football team together. They’ve been friends ever since.

That doesn’t mean they always agree.

Wilson recently posted an indirect response to Cunningham on TikTok. He pointed to the discrepancy between the perception of transgender athletes in women’s sports and reality. He also suggested that “politicians, athletes and journalists” are “only isolating transgender people even more by making them seem like a threat to society and a threat to sports.” There are much bigger issues to worry about, like war.

It will be interesting to see how this goes over with Cunningham. They have not released a new episode of their podcast in a month. Maybe it’s an attempt to distance himself from the controversy but this TikTok video seems like a direct shot from Wilson. Surely it will come up when he is back together with his co-host.
