BetMGM sports book needs the Rams to win Super Bowl LVI. More than 70% of bets and 55% of the handle was placed on the Bengals moneyline leading up to Sunday.
Although the expectation is that the majority of Super Bowl bets will be placed leading up to kickoff, that is where it stood on Sunday morning. In addition to the sportsbook’s rooting interest, one Las Vegas bettor is rooting right along with them… for the first half, at least.
Three $1,000,000 bets were placed by the same bettor in Sin City and all three are on the Rams.
The bettor placed the following three bets:
- Rams -0.5 first quarter (+105) — L.A. to win the first quarter by one point or more.
- Rams -2.5 first half (-120) — L.A. to win the first half by three points or more.
- Rams over 13.5 first half (-115) — L.A. to score 14 points or more in the first half.
Should all three bets win, the Las Vegas bettor will win $2,752,899.
The outcome of all three bets will be determined in the first half. That means that after the first 30 minutes on Sunday night, one man or woman will either be beside his or herself and significantly more wealthy, or down bad and out $3,000,000.
