The Steelers are sticking with Offensive Coordinator Matt Canada, according to a report from TheAthletic’s Dianna Russini.
It seems the Steelers have no immediate plans to make any changes, as they haven’t fired Canada or shifted play-calling duties to another coach within the organization. Apparently, if they were going to do something, it would have already been done, per the report.
Despite some criticism from fans regarding Canada’s play calling, the Steelers’ players and head coach Mike Tomlin have remained supportive. They reportedly held a team meeting this week to brainstorm solutions as they approach their bye week.

The Steelers typically don’t part ways with assistant coaches during the season. Instead, they focus on improving performance through increased physical practice. Developing the quarterback and shoring up the offensive line are seen as crucial areas for improvement.
The team has solid skill players but needs to enhance their running game and provide quarterback Kenny Pickett with more time to connect with wide receiver like George Pickens , and tight end like Pat Freiermuth.
Currently, the 3-2 Steelers are struggling on offense, ranking 30th in the league in points per game with an average of 15.8. They’re just ahead of the Giants (12.4 points per game) and the Patriots (11 points per game).
The Steelers need to make some progress here, or they risk wasting their talented defense, they has kept most teams this season limited offensively.
