NBA sharpshooter Steph Curry was asked about the comparisons that have been made between him and Caitlin Clark and he praised her for not just her incredible shooting, but for the rest of her game as well.

“I’ve been watching from afar and understanding just how much of a power she is out there on the court,” Curry said during an appearance on CBS Mornings.

“The cool part is the way that she plays and her range and the level of difficulty on her shots is obviously a very close comparison to the way that I play, but I think it almost robs her of, like, the rest of her game because she has an overall floor game, she’s racking up close to triple-doubles every night.

“Her shooting ability is her superpower, but the rest of her game is as polished as that, so this is must-see TV. I love what it’s done for women’s basketball in terms of you know when she shows up the seats are filled and there’s a different energy.”

Game recognizes game.

Clark, the all-time leading scorer in college basketball – men’s or women’s, leads the nation in scoring at 31.9 points per game, but she also leads the country in assists, averaging 8.9 per game.

That’s nothing new for her, by the way. As a sophomore, Clark was the first women’s player to ever lead Division I in points and assists in a single season.

She also led the nation in assists as a junior, the year she won all of the major national Player of the Year awards.

On top of that, the six-foot tall Caitlin Clark is also averaging 7.3 rebounds per game, which is why Steph Curry talked about her “racking up close to triple-doubles every night.” Because she is! (Last year she did even better, grabbing 8.0 boards per game.)

She is a special talent and Steph Curry is far from the only one who realizes it. It’s just very cool that he does.
