The Rockets took on the Warriors in the first game of the Western Conference Semifinals on Sunday, and with Houston trailing by three points with the clock ticking down, James Harden had the ball in his hands with a chance to tie things up before doing…this.

Was it a foul? Maybe. I’m not the one who gets paid to make these decisions, and in fairness, the refs did appear to miss more than a few calls during the game. With that said, Harden’s reputation didn’t do him any favors as he has a tendency to flop harder than Jupiter Descending did at the box office.
Following the loss, Harden aired his grievances with the officials, saying:
“I just want a fair chance, man. Just call the game the way it’s supposed to be called and we’ll live with the results.”
It’s safe to say Draymond Green—who defended Harden on the play—was amused by his comments.

On Monday, Steve Kerr decided to get in on the action at a press conference ahead of tonight’s game and took the opportunity to take a jab at Harden when he pulled out a flop of his own while talking to reporters.
I still can’t believe Steve Kerr pretended to flop and call a foul before he started his press conference with the media. These teams do not like each other. (Via @anthonyVslater) pic.twitter.com/A3QI3GbjsI

It appears Rockets GM Daryl Morey didn’t take too kindly to Kerr’s impersonation, as it didn’t take too long for him to jump on Twitter and post a link to an article from a few years ago about Kerr complaining about the refs.

The second game of the series will take place tonight, and if all of this drama is any indication, we’re in for quite a treat.
