Today, Steven Gerrard takes the pitch at Anfield for what is his last home game as a member of Liverpool F.C. The boots he’s sporting to commemorate the enormous moment in English soccer history are, obviously, nothing short of awesome. They’re like works of art – fitting for such a legend.
Adorned with the names of his children (“Lilly” is visible), and the Reds’ go-to slogan “YNWA,” the spikes also have a special message on the inside as well.

And oh yeah, it doesn’t matter for squat, but the Reds are facing off against Crystal Palace. Now, I’m by no means a Liverpool fan (my soccer allegiance lies in West London) but, come on, everyone is pulling for Stevie G today.
Today and today only, I am rooting for a Gerrard thunder strike. It would be so meaningless, but so meaningful all at the same time.
