A new study from Gaming Club has ranked which NFL cities are the best to live in if you are an NFL fan.

Just like most studies, there are two predictable results found in this one; the first being that Indianapolis tops the rankings and second, the New York franchises got absolutely dragged in the rankings.

The study looked at five key categories: number of touchdowns, ticket prices, precipitation, beer price, ‘mcmeals’ which I’m guessing is just food prices and pollution in the city.

Gaming Club writes ‘just because they are Superbowl champions doesn’t mean they are the best team in the world. Using NFL and CFL stats mixed with open government data we found the best football city in the world.’

Here’s a look at the rankings:

  1. Indianapolis Colts
  2. Carolina Panthers
  3. Green Bay Packers
  4. Kansas City Chiefs
  5. Minnesota Vikings
  6. Buffalo Bills
  7. Cincinnati Bengals
  8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  9. Cleveland Browns
  10. Los Angeles Rams
  11. Detroit Lions
  12. Pittsburgh Steelers
  13. Atlanta Falcons
  14. Baltimore Ravens
  15. Jacksonville Jaguars
  16. Arizona Cardinals
  17. Chicago Bears
  18. Seattle Seahawks
  19. Tennessee Titans
  20. Dallas Cowboys
  21. Denver Broncos
  22. New Orleans Saints
  23. Los Angeles Chargers
  24. Oakland Raiders
  25. San Francisco 49ers
  26. Houston Texans
  27. Philadelphia Eagles
  28. New England Patriots
  29. Washington Redskins
  30. Miami Dolphins
  31. New York Giants
  32. New York Jets

When looking at all of the factors here, it’s no surprise that the Giants and Jets are at the bottom of the list due to food and beer prices, ticket prices, pollution, and precipitation as New York/New Jersey check all of those boxes in a pretty bad way.

Some takeaways from the data were the Chiefs having the most touchdowns, the Bills having the cheapest tickets, the Panthers having the best-priced food, the Lions having the cheapest beer and of course Arizona having the least precipitation.

The study also looked at CFL teams and if you combine both leagues, Edmonton and Winnipeg rank one and two ahead of Indianapolis.
