Sydney Sweeney apparently isn’t bothered by the backlash she received for posing nearly nude for a sports betting app.
Last month, Sweeney went viral when she was featured in a risque ad for the sports prediction market Novig.
Sweeney received backlash over the ad from female athletes, including Olympian Ariarne Titmus, who blasted the actresses for posing for several sports shots while wearing next to nothing.

“I can’t describe how infuriated I feel when I watch this.”
“Not only is it a kick in the face to every woman who has dedicated her life to perfecting her craft, but every woman who enjoys sports for what it really is – teamwork, friendship, dedication, excellence, unity.”
“How do we live in a world where monetizing a woman’s body and sexualizing women’s sport is still a thing?”
Despite the backlash and criticism, Sweeney dropped another ad for Novig during Sunday’s football slate.
“There’s insider trading on dictators dying and armies of bots manipulating it all. There’s someone sitting in a bathroom stall betting their 401k on a war,” says Sweeney in the new ad. “And then, there are people who just trade on sports.”
No dictators. No market manipulation. No insider trading.
No BS. Just sports. https://t.co/em4ioPMYiA

It is worth noting that Sweeney has an ownership stake in Novig, according to Novig CEO Jacob Fortinsky.
“Sydney is great at captivating audiences and being the center of attention,” Fortinsky told FOS in an interview Wednesday afternoon after the ad dropped. “In some sense, it forces us into the national discourse.”
Fortinsky claimed it was Sweeney who approached us and was “interested in some kind of equity partnership.” She’s now an equity holder in the company, although he wouldn’t reveal her ownership stake or how much the company paid her to appear in the ad.
“We’re very excited to have her on the cap table,” he said.
