NFL QB Chase Daniel Sets Record Straight For Taylor Swift Fans Who Don’t Believe He’s A Real Person

Chase Daniel is an NFL legend even though Taylor Swift fans don’t seem to think that he exists. Despite what the Swifties might think, the 37-year-old quarterback insists is in fact a real person.

Nobody in league history has had a more iconic career!

Yes, you read that sentence correctly. Daniel is not an all-time great because he has seven Super Bowl rings like Tom Brady or set records without a single ring like Dan Marino.

Rather, it is almost the exact opposite. The University of Missouri alumnus has only ever started five games in the National Football League. However, he has made more than $40 million (!!) as a backup with seven different teams in 15 years. That is truly baller.

Despite Daniel’s greatness, a fan account on X called ‘Throwback Taylor’ put his name in quotations as if to say that he is a myth. A figment of the imagination, perhaps.

The post was in reference to 2015.

Taylor Swift was on tour and played to a sold-out crowd at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. Daniel was the backup to Alex Smith at the time. He and his wife, Hillary, gifted the international popstar with a jersey backstage.

To bring things full-circle to today, Daniel actually threw Travis Kelce his first touchdown. Kelce is now dating Swift, which you know by now.

Daniel found the quotation marks to be hilarious.

Why you have to put my name in single quotations like it’s a fake name??

‘Chase Daniel’ 😂😂

Whether Swifties want to believe it or not, ‘chase daniel’ is very much a real person. He set the record straight in a video response to @ThrowbackTaylor and all of the account’s 440,000 followers.

Swifties came a long way with their football knowledge last season. Credit where credit is due.

They clearly still have a long way to go!

Daniel was a college football folk hero with the Tigers and was even a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2007. He threw for more than 12,000 yards and 100 touchdowns in four years and won 37 games— including back-to-back 10-win+ seasons as a junior and senior.

Mizzou even won a Cotton Bowl to finish ranked in the top-five! That NEVER happens…

Swifties, let this be your lesson. Put some respect on Chase Daniel’s name!
