Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown is the newest member of the Kansas City Chiefs. He signed with the reigning national champions in free agency last week after two years with the Cardinals.
As a result, the ‘Swifties’ also added a new member!
Brown did not waste any time in hopping on the Taylor Swift train after making his decision. Can you blame him? She was all that anyone talked about for like five months. It was crucial for him to get on her good side — and perhaps more importantly, the good side of her supporters.
The former first-round pick went live on Twitch on the night of his signing to chop it up with NFL fans and discuss his future in the league. Of course, that future now includes the world’s biggest pop star…
Swift is dating Travis Kelce. Kelce will often line up next to Brown on the line of scrimmage next year.
However, the latter is not particularly well versed on the former’s girlfriend or her music. He fired up ‘Blank Space’ to see what he was missing and immediately fell in love with the beat!
The song is a bop and Brown was jamming out with a big smile on his face.

While it is not that surprising, because people tune things out when they aren’t interested, it is very funny that a 26-year-old was largely unfamiliar with Taylor Swift or her work. She is undeniably the biggest artist of this generation, and has earned her place on the figurative Mount Rushmore of music alongside Michael Jackson and Elvis. Her global impact stretches that wide whether you like it or not!
Just not to Brown. Or at least, not to Brown prior to joining her boyfriend’s team.
He made the smart decision to get on board. Swifties have embraced the Kelces and Patrick Mahomes because of their respective relationships to the international icon. It would be incredible if they all became huge fans of Hollywood Brown as well.
