It was a magical season for TCU. The Horned Frogs were 200-1 at the beginning of the season to win the national title, and they found themselves playing for it on Monday night.

But, it didn’t go well, to say the least. The team was humiliated in unprecedented fashion, as Georgia stomped them, 65-7.

And, that score may even have been generous to TCU. It’s not as if Georgia had a ton of lucky breaks throughout the game. Total yards were in favor of Georgia by a margin of 589-188. Those numbers don’t even make sense. Georgia had 32 first downs. TCU had 9. As I said, they simply don’t make sense.

And, it gave a lot of ammunition to those who didn’t believe TCU belonged. After all, they didn’t even win the less-than-stellar Big 12, and got every break possible to sneak by Michigan in the college football playoff, 51-45.

So, they were clowned on Twitter all night long for what may have been the most embarrassing performance in a championship game in modern American sports.

I would say better luck next time, Horned Frogs. But, after this, no one is going to let you have a next time.
