A group of recruits in attendance at Saturday’s college football game against Tennessee got first-row seats to a complete and total meltdown. Not on the field but off.
An unruly Vols fan resisted arrest during a tense exchange in the stands.
It is safe to say that any of the college football prospects who might’ve considered a future in Knoxville will no longer do so. They saw the Volunteers take two Ls.
Alabama won the college football game in front of recruits.
There was perhaps no bigger game on the Crimson Tide schedule this season than the Third Saturday in October. Alabama ranked No. 6. Tennessee ranked No. 11.
The former beat the latter behind a 23-point first half. It was a dominant win from start to finish.
A large number of highly-touted recruits were in attendance at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The list of stars in attendance included 10+ commits including four-star quarterback Jett Thomalla, a trio of 2026 defensive line targets (including two committed elsewhere and one who just flipped from Georgia), and a huge group of elite underclassmen, including 2027’s top-ranked quarterback Elijah Haven. They were seated right behind the end zone and got to witness an electric atmosphere.

It was a great night for the Crimson Tide. Not so much for the Vols.
A Tennessee fan resisted arrest, also in front of recruits.
I do not know what led to the moment you are about to see. However, it took place at some point during the third quarter.
The video, which has since gone viral on TikTok, shows an unruly Tennessee fan fighting with law enforcement as they tried to lead her out of the stadium. She was forcibly removed from her seat (and the game) but she did not go down without a fight. The woman screamed and tried to wiggle her way out of the arrest. The arresting officers eventually got her on the ground and in cuffs.
As you could imagine, the Vols fan caused quite the scene. A man that appears to be her husband and/or close friend stood nearby with clear concern on his face. Everybody else was enthralled by the incident.
The star-studded group of recruits are included in that “everybody else.” They were right there to watch it all go down.
Not only did Alabama leave a great impression on its potential future football players, Tennessee left a horrible impression with the arrest. None of those athletes are going to pick the Vols over the Tide. I wouldn’t!
