There have been some rough Thursday nights for football fans this year.

We have sat through some bad football during the Thursday Night Football game from week to week.

Back in Week 5, there was that awful game between the Broncos and Colts that ended 12-9 in overtime.

The following week it was another terrible offensive showing with the Commanders and Bears as the culprits.

A couple of weeks ago, the Rams and Raiders played a game that was pretty tough to watch right up until Baker Mayfield led a miraculous comeback.

Last week, fans suffered through watching an awful Zach Wilson performance that led to the Jets benching him and improving with Chris Streveler under center.

This week’s game could be worse than all of those.

On the surface, a matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys in Nashville seems like it would be intriguing for football fans. Unfortunately, the Titans’ most recent injury update tells a different story.

Fans already knew they wouldn’t be seeing Ryan Tannehill this week, but now it appears the Titans will likely also be missing Derrick Henry tomorrow night.

The Titans offense has been really bad with Malik Willis under center and its only redeeming quality has been the presence of Henry. He has 71 carries in Willis’ 3 starts including 31 in the Titans’ first matchup with the Texans. He is responsible for 5 of their 6 touchdowns in those games.

Without him, the Titans are going to have a tough time generating offense against a solid Cowboys defense and this game could get ugly very quickly.

The group chat keeps telling me Willis “ain’t it”, but football fans will needs to hope that’s not the case tomorrow night if they’re going to get an entertaining game on Thursday Night Football.
