The Texas A&M baseball team dropped its fourth straight game on Saturday, falling 4-0 to Oklahoma State. The Aggies are now 5-4 in a season that began with national title hopes.
Pitcher Shane Sdao blasted his own fanbase after the team’s latest defeat. He called the criticism received from the 12th Man both “disgusting and ridiculous.”
The year began with promise for the Ags, who were beaten in the College World Series final last June in Omaha. With key pieces returning to the lineup in College Station, a repeat appearance in the CWS was expected.
That still could come to fruition. There is still a lot of baseball to be played. To this point, the Aggies do not look like a title contender.
Texas A&M has lost back-to-back-to-back-to-back matchups to Cal Poly, Texas State, Arizona, and Oklahoma State. With the team falling well short of early expectations, the fanbase has been loud on social media.
Critics have come out in droves to blast the poor play. Shane Sdao believes it’s been taken a step too far. The pitcher posted a message to his X page after the latest loss. He’s looking for uplifting commentary after seeing the Aggies beaten down.

Sdao understands where the criticism is coming from. The locker room is equally as frustrated as the fanbase. Still, he believes talks should be productive as opposed to tearing the team down.
The Texas A&M baseball squad will look to turn things around on Sunday when it faces Rice to round out the Astros Foundation College Classic. Another loss will put them at .500 through their first 10 games.
Regardless of how the matchup with the Owls goes, the Aggies will have two more weeks to right the ship before SEC play. The road certainly doesn’t get any easier in the team’s championship pursuit, but it will look to build some momentum over the next few games.
