Oct 10, 2026; Columbia, Missouri, USA; Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed (10) throws a pass against the Missouri Tigers during the second half of the game at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium.
The Texas A&M Aggies entered the college football season with national title aspirations after making the College Football Playoff a year ago and bringing back star quarterback Marcel Reed.
But Reed has fallen well short of expectations this season and, in turn, so have the Aggies. Texas A&M sits at 4-4 through eight games and just 1-4 in the SEC, essentially ending any chance of even making the playoff, let alone contending for a title.
Reed, meanwhile, has taken a step back in basically every meaningful statistical category this season. He’s completing just 56.8 percent of his passes compared to 62.1 percent a year ago. He’s thrown for just 173.7 yards per game compared to 243.8, and he has a 1:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio compared to 2:1 last season.
Despite that, Reed seems unbothered.

Texas A&M Fans Are Fed Up With Marcel Reed’s TikTok Dancing
In a recently deleted TikTok that went viral on Thursday, Reed was seen dancing with two female Texas A&M students.
Now, normally, having a bit of fun away from the field wouldn’t be all that big of a deal. But when your team is 4-4 and you’re playing poorly, especially as the quarterback, it’s a rough look.
Unsurprisingly, Aggies fans were furious over the video.
“We going 4-8, and this is what our qb is doing in his free time. Please, Brady Hart, save us,” one fan posted on X.
“If he were playing well, it’s a goofy video. But Jesus f—ing Christ, you are 4-4 and lead the SEC in interceptions. I can’t wait until this fraud is gone from the team,” said another.
Ultimately, it’s just the price that Reed pays for his poor play. But it’s easy to understand why Aggies fans aren’t happy about it.
