As the college football season presses forward, there are going to be more and more coaches finding themselves on the hot seat.

There are plenty of teams that have disappointed fans this season and some of them have already gotten rid of their head coaches. Programs like Arizona State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin have already gotten rid of their coaches this season.

Now it seems that the calls for another Power 5 program to join them are growing louder.

Auburn has been one of those disappointing teams this season. They didn’t enter the year with their usual expectations of being a top 25 team and competing for a spot near the top of the SEC, but they were at least supposed to be competitive in big games and pick up wins against some of their opponents that weren’t fightign for spots in the Playoff.

That hasn’t happened. Auburn’s wins this season have come against Mercer, San Jose State, and Missouri. It’s not exactly the most impressive list of wins.

Meanwhile, they’ve lost at home against Penn State and LSU, scoring 29 points between the 2 games. They also got crushed at Georgia and lost by 14 today at Ole Miss.

After that latest loss, the calls have grown louder for head coach Brian Harsin to be fired.

The calls for Auburn to fire Bryan Harsin are getting louder

Bryan Harsin is in his second year in charge of Auburn and both years have fallen short of Auburn’s standards. Last year, they finished 6-7 and lost to Houston in their bowl game. This year, at 3-4 with games left against Alabama, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State, they might not even make a bowl game.

Couple that with some off-field drama that unfolded during the offseason and it wouldn’t surprise anybody if today was Harsin’s last game coaching Auburn.
