The FBI Is Investigating Threats Made To Conor McGregor On Twitter

During UFC 196’s heated press conference on Wednesday, Conor McGregor made some potentially racist remarks when he called Nate Diaz “a little cholo from the hood”.

“I honestly like Nick’s little brother,” McGregor said. “How can you not like him? He’s like a little cholo from the hood. But at the same time, he coaches kid’s jiu jitsu on a Sunday morning and goes on bike rides with the elderly. He makes gang signs with the right hand and balloon animals with the left hand.”

While Diaz didn’t seem to bothered by McGregor’s comments, one fan on Twitter was not happy with McGregor and threatened the UFC star with a picture of himself holding an AK-47.

These tweets were brought to the attention of the UFC by MMA Gif-Maker ZProphet_MMA which led the company to ask the FBI for assistance to investigate the matter.

. From there the UFC took swift action, getting their security team involved and alerting McGregor’s security team. The UFC also reached out to Twitter to take action, and the user’s account has since been removed from the social media network. From a law enforcement perspective, the FBI is taking the threat seriously and investigating as well.
