The Lions apparently had several suitors for Stafford which drove up the price for him. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter the Lions turned down a pretty generous trade offer from the Carolina Panthers that included Teddy Bridgewater, the eighth overall pick in this year’s NFL draft and a fifth-round pick.
