The Detroit Lions had no shame in trying to pry Aaron Donald away from the LA Rams.

Before settling on two first rounds picks, a third pick and Jared Goff, the Lions initially asked the Rams for defensive juggernaut in exchange for Matthew Stafford which was immediately shot down by LA.

The Lions apparently had several suitors for Stafford which drove up the price for him. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter the Lions turned down a pretty generous trade offer from the Carolina Panthers that included Teddy Bridgewater, the eighth overall pick in this year’s NFL draft and a fifth-round pick.

Tough break for Teddy Bridgewater, who now knows the Panthers are trying to get rid of him this offseason.
