Hafthor Björnsson, the actor who played the Mountain in Game of Thrones, is the holder of a new record after he successfully deadlifted more than any other person in history.
The Icelandic star broke the previous record of 1,102 lbs, which was lifted by Eddie Hall back in 2016

Eddie Hall sent Bjornsson well wishes but said that he wanted to see the record broken in competition.
Good luck to @ThorBjornsson_ for his 501kg deadlift today, hope he smashes it and look forward to him attempting it at a competition too when all this is over 💪 #BackUpYourBull
Big Love

Update: After breaking the record Bjornsson started talking trash and challenged Hall to a boxing match.
