A lot of people might have quit when faced with the circumstances Themba Gorimbo was dealing with earlier this year.
Gorimbo made his UFC debut back in February for the 13th fight of his MMA career.
That fight didn’t go his way as he ended up tapping to a guillotine choke in the second round against AJ Fletcher.
That put a lot of pressure on Gorimbo to perform in his 2nd fight in the organization.
His 2nd fight came against Takashi Sato back in May. Gorimbo dominated in his 2nd UFC opportunity, taking all 3 rounds on every scorecard to beat Sato by unanimous decision.
After the fight Gorimbo revealed some surprising information to UFC fans. He had just $7 in his bank account.
Despite that, when Gorimbo sold his fight gear for $7000, he used that money to help provide clean water to his village in Zimbabwe.
That revelation ended up getting the attention of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was so moved by Gorimbo’s story that he went to meat the UFC welterweight earlier this week.
Today, another incredible chapter was added to that story.
The Rock bought Gorimbo a house so he no longer had to live in the gym.
It’s an incredible move from The Rock that will hopefully help Gorimbo pursue his dreams in the UFC.
Themba Gorimbo currently doesn’t have his next fight scheduled in the UFC, but he will luckily have one less major thing to worry about when he prepares for that next fight.
