Many were stunned when Tiger Woods and Nike announced their split in January. Nike Golf and Tiger Woods had been synonymous with each other since 1997.

All fifteen of Tiger Woods’ major wins were with the Swoosh, and one of the most iconic images in all of sports is his ball hanging over the cup at the 16th hole in the final round of the 2005 Masters with the logo showing, only for the ball to fall into the cup to give Tiger Woods an improbable birdie in a winning effort.

But, that has come to an end. People want to know whose apparel Tiger Woods will wear next, and I think we have our answer.

That appears as if TaylorMade has filed a trademark on a potential new line of Tiger Woods gear.

This was always the most likely outcome, in my opinion. Woods started using TaylorMade equipment in 2017 after Nike Golf ceased making clubs, and I’m sure that relationship paid off for TaylorMade.

This is going to be a huge boost to Taylor Made, who already make some pretty good golf gear. Let’s face it, many of us weekend hackers want to wear the same stuff that Tiger Woods wears, and that alone will drive sales tremendously.

It sounds like Woods will play in his next tournament the third week of February at the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. Woods’ last start on tour was at the Hero World Challenge in Early December, a tournament hosted by Woods. He looked as healthy as he has in years, and finished 18th in the 30-person field.
