If you’ve been paying attention to NBA Twitter this year — or perhaps even if you haven’t — then you’ve likely come across content from Timberwolves Brasil, an unaffiliated Brazil-based Twitter account that posts patently insane content centered around Minnesota’s NBA franchise.
The content from Timberwolves Brasil has gone so viral, in fact, that GQ Sports did an entire deep-dive into the account, titling the article: “What on Earth Is Going On With the Timberwolves Brazilian X Account?”
If you take one glimpse at some of the content they’ve posted since the 2023-24 NBA season started, you can see why the account has left the NBA world a bit confused.

Apparently taking inspiration from their non-affiliated Brazilain brothers-in-bizarre-content, the Minnesota Timberwolves rolled out a truly bizarre halftime show earlier this week that featured two inflatable wolves serenading each other to Bonnie Tyler’s love ballad “Total Eclipse of the Heart” before breaking out a high-energy dance routine.

The Timberwolves certainly picked a great time to turn into a hilarious franchise as their team, for the first time in a long time, appears to be among the cream of the NBA’s crop as they currently sit atop the Western Conference with a record of 13-4.
The Wolves’ leap to the NBA’s elite tier this season has been fueled by the performance of 22-year-old small forward Anthony Edwards, who is turning into the superstar he was expected to be when the Wolves drafted him with the #1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. So far this season, Edwards is averaging 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.
In addition to Edwards, the Timberwolves also have Karl-Anthony Townes averaging 21 ppg this season, multiple-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, and veteran point guard Mike Conley Jr.
