Midweek MACtion was back on Tuesday, providing great entertainment for college football viewers. Of the three games on the board, two were decided by three points or less, with one going to overtime between Akron and Eastern Michigan.

The Toledo-BGSU contest was equally as impressive, seeing the Rockets overcome a three-score halftime deficit to take down the Falcons. It wouldn’t be the only embarrassing moment of the night for Bowling Green.

Toledo entered the matchup at 9-1 on the season as they continue to roll through conference play. The Rockets’ only loss to this point came against Illinois in the season opener where they fell 30-28.

A second loss looked to be incoming as Bowling Green jumped out to a 28-10 lead over the first two quarters of play. The Rockets battled back, though, outscoring the Falcons 22-3 over the final 30 minutes.

A 59-yard touchdown pass to Jacquez Stuart with less than two minutes left proved to be the nail in the coffin.

The second half collapse had BGSU feeling deflated, and Toledo fans did little to ease the pain.

In fact, after the game, we saw the rare ‘opposing team field storm,’ by those Toledo supporters in attendance. Talk about rubbing salt into the wound.

Not only did the Falcons have a shot to hand the Rockets their first loss in conference play, but the fell in dramatic fashion and then watched opposing fans celebrate at their own midfield logo.

Brutal

Toledo improved to 10-1 on the season with the come-from-behind win. Bowling Green fell to 6-5 with the loss. Both teams will be back in action next week as they look to wrap up their seasons.
