Tom Brady seems ready to move on to the next phase of his career. That includes a future in broadcasting as he’s already inked a deal to join the FOX football crew.

In a recent interview with Colin Cowherd, the passer spoke about that opportunity, giving followers clarity on a timeline of when to expect his debut in the booth. That update already has fans predicting an NFL return.

Brady announced his retirement from football earlier this month, letting the world know of his intentions to hang up the cleats with a post to Twitter. That announcement represented the second time in as many years that he’d filled fans in on his plans to call it quits on an NFL career.

As we all know, his first retirement stint was short-lived. Just weeks after that original announcement, he decided to return to the Bucs which had a major impact on both his personal and professional life.

He and supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen filed for divorce. His 2022 season ended with the first losing campaign of his career, as well as an early exit from the playoffs.

It was certainly a disappointing end to his Hall of Fame career, but he seemed at peace with the decision this time around.

That’s led folks to focus on the next step in the Tom Brady saga, which should consist of a transition from the playing field to the broadcast booth.

Brady sat down with Colin Cowherd on Monday to discuss that opportunity.

Brady signed a massive 10-year contract with FOX last year worth $375 million. While the network would probably like to see an immediate return on investment, it appears that he’s taking time to prepare for the switch.

Brady says he plans to begin that broadcasting career in the fall of 2024, leaving the door ever so slightly open for fans to speculate on another potential return to the NFL.

Here’s what people were saying online after seeing that interview.

One fan wrote, “He’s gonna come back for another season…”

Another said, “Leaving the door open, I see…”

Many others agreed.

Cowherd asked Tom Brady if there was even a 1% chance of his returning to the playing field next year. The quarterback gave a lengthy answer, but never definitively said, “No.”

Given the GOAT’s history, these rumors will continue to swirl over the offseason.
