Many around the sports and entertainment world are making the move to Threads, a new social media platform connected with Meta/Instagram. Tom Brady is learning quickly that even as a new forms of information dissemination evolve, some moments will never be left in the past.
The former NFL passer is the greatest in the history of the sport. Fifteen Pro Bowls, seven Lombardi trophies, and three MVPS headline a 23-year professional career. He’s led two of the largest comebacks in Super Bowl history, including overcoming a 25-point deficit against the Falcons in 2017.
Brady has been in a part of some of football’s most iconic moments, and his storied career will be a never-ending highlight reel of accomplishment.
But there’s still one thing he can’t run from, even as he makes his way over to a new social media outlet.
That infamous NFL Combine photo.
On Thursday, Brady took to his new Threads account and asked, “Hey, my combine photo is banned on Threads, right? We’re going for positivity here?”
It immediately turned into an all-out Tom Brady roast. No one is going to let TB12 live that moment down given the man looks better at 45 than he did after college graduation.
One fan said, “No, it’s iconic at this point.”
Someone else wrote, “Sorry, it’s a historical artifact.”
“Better luck next time, champ,” this thread read.
No one would’ve predicted Brady to post his insane career numbers by looking at that pre-draft photo, which makes it all the better. The signal caller may try to escape it, but image will forever be tied to his Hall of Fame legacy.
Tom Brady just wants his combine photo deleted 😂
