Tommy DeVito Redeems Himself After Trying To Leverage Local Pizzeria For Money

One thing is for certain, Tommy DeVito ain’t no dummy.

Okay, sure, everybody’s favorite aggressively Italian NFL quarterback may have slipped up a bit earlier this week when he tried to extort a local pizza shop.

But he made up for it!

DeVito was originally set to appear at Coniglio’s Pizzeria and Bakery in Morristown, New Jersey on Tuesday. But after initially agreeing to a $10,000 appearance fee, DeVito and noted “slimy” agent Sean Stellato doubled the price.

The pizza shop then backed out of the deal citing the exorbitant cost.

Unsurprisingly, this didn’t sit well with fans, who began to turn on our man Tommy Cutlets. (Ignore the fact that he also played terribly against the New Orleans Saints.)

But our man Tommy D, he isn’t gonna stay down.

Because rather than the just sit around and take the head, DeVito went and made things right.

DeVito not only showed up at Coniglio’s on Tuesday, he did so free of charge. And he didn’t just pop his head in and wave. No, the New York Giants start even hopped behind the counter and started making old-fashioned sodas.

Conigilio’s owner, Nino Coniglio, said that he believes DeVito realized the error of his ways.

“I think the moral of the story is ‘be careful what you’re doing with small, independent businesses,'” he said. “You know, try to be a man of the people. Try to make sure everybody’s whole…you’re a hero to all of us. A lot of these sports athletes are a hero to a lot of us. But at the end of the day, I think the number one rule is ‘do what you say. Say what do.’ You’re never gonna go wrong in life with those rules.”

Tommy D knows the rules. And he’s making sure he lives by them.
