Many Toronto Blue Jays fans are more than a little concerned about the infamous “Drake Curse” showing up again as their team gets ready to play in the 2025 World Series. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Dodgers fans are feeling pretty good since one of the fans of their team is Kendrick Lamar.

Drake, being a Toronto native, was very excited, or as Major League Baseball wrote on X on Monday, “losing his mind after the Blue Jays punched their ticket to the World Series.”

Reactions to Drake’s excitement over the Blue Jays advancing to the World Series were not only focused on concern about the “Drake Curse” striking again, but also how Aubrey seems to root for whatever team is hot at the moment. For instance, one fan posted a photo of the rapper in a Shohei Ohtani All-Star Game jersey, while another wrote, “Drake will be on the field after the game in a Shohei jersey when the Dodgers complete the sweep.”

Fans also reminded everyone that the World Series actually starts on October 24th – Drake’s 39 birthday. So there’s that too.

Blue Jays fans are concerned the ‘Drake Curse’ will strike their team

Mostly though, it was just worries about the “Drake Curse” striking the Blue Jays, much like it did with the Dallas Mavericks, Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Georgia football, Alabama football, Kentucky basketball, and countless others.

• “The f—–‘ drake curse… f— man, it’s gonna be over in 4.”
• “Keep Drake awake from any Toronto games and jerseys pls.”
• “I want Drake no where near this team.”
• “Uh oh yall need to pay the Etsy witch to counteract a drake curse.”
• “Man my life would be so much better if Drake was just born in a different city.”
• “Can’t wait to hear ‘Not Like Us‘ all week. Damn Drake, how are you about to take another L… in baseball now?”
