Things got a bit awkward between former NFL QB Cam Newton and Colorado Buffs star Travis Hunter.
On Saturday afternoon, Newton made his way to Orlando, Florida, to watch the Buffs play UCF in a big college football showdown.
Before the game, Newton said hi to Shedeur Sanders on the field.

When Newton went over to talk to Travis Hunter, the Buffs star immediately waved off him.

I don’t know if this was serious or just joking around but Travis Hunter basically telling Cam Newton to kick rocks… not once but twice.

It’s unclear if Hunter was joking with Newton, but it was definitely awkward.
Update: Eventually Hunter greeted Newton, ending all speculation of a beef between the two.
