Cardinals TE Trey McBride scores a touchdown.
The Arizona Cardinals took down the Dallas Cowboys as a seven-point underdog on Sunday in NFL action. They erased a 14-point fourth quarter deficit to force overtime before walking their opponent off.
It was a forgettable night for safety Caleb Downs. On top of a loss, hot mics caught some brutal trash talk following a first half Trey McBride reception.
McBride didn’t expect the jab to be heard on the broadcast. He showed Downs the utmost disrespect in a now-viral moment.

Dallas led 14-0 in the second quarter when the Arizona tight end hauled in a 15-yard reception. It gave the Cardinals a fresh set of downs on a drive that ultimately ended with a field goal.
After making the snag, McBride turned to Downs, who was the defender in coverage, to talk trash. “You’re a first rounder?” he asked before making his way back to the huddle.
Downs was the 11th pick in the most recent NFL Draft. The rookie was a two-time All-American at Ohio State. He’s already made a big impact with the Cowboys.
The safety has recorded 48 tackles and forced a pair of fumbles. Unfortunately, he was not a huge factor in his most recent appearance, and he made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Trey McBride’s trash talk was the lowlight of a bad defensive showing for the Cowboys. Dallas surrendered 467 yards of offense to Arizona and gave up 30 points after halftime.
The Cardinals scored two touchdowns in the final 2:11 of regulation to force overtime. They then won in walk-off fashion, much to the dismay of Dallas owner Jerry Jones.
With the improbable win, Arizona improved to 3-5 on the season. The Cowboys, meanwhile, fell to 3-5 and further behind the Giants in the NFC East standings.
