The pro wrestling world is in a state of shock and mourning following the sudden passing of All Elite Wrestling star Pac, real name Benjamin Sattlerley, on Sunday at just 40 years old.
The company confirmed the wrestler’s passing in a post on their social media accounts, and it didn’t take long for the tributes to come pouring in.
Before joining AEW in 2019, Satterley spent seven years wrestling in the WWE under the name Neville. Sadly, the news comes just weeks after the passing of fellow AEW star Andy Williams, who wrestled under the name The Butcher.
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability,” a statement from AEW read. “Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends, and fans.”
Pro Wrestlers Share Memories Of AEW Star Pac
Whether it was coworkers from his current promotion, AEW, or past promotions such as WWE, there was no shortage of tributes to Satterley on social media, beginning with current AEW champion and fellow Englishman Will Ospreay.
“The greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being,” Ospreay wrote. “Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.”
AEW referee Bryce Remsburg also talked about the friendship the two shared, and who Satterley had become close with his children.
“To many, he was a bastard. To my kids, he was Ben – who brought them Kinder Eggs from the UK, who converted them to Newcastle fans. To me, he was an incredible friend for 20 years. Watching a Black Arrow from inside the ring still takes my breath away,” Remsburg wrote.

Amanda Huber, the wife of former AEW star Brodie Lee (real name Jon Huber), who passed away in 2020, also penned a beautiful tribute.

Satterley appeared on AEW’s “All Out” show on Saturday night, just hours prior to his passing.
