People have been chowing down on hot dogs at sporting events for well over a century. Most spectators don’t need more than one or two to get their fix, but UCF has essentially issued a challenge to fans who have the chance to purchase an all-you-can-eat ticket package for their showdown with TCU.
A British entrepreneur named Harry M. Stevens is widely credited with popularizing the sales of hot dogs, peanuts, and other consumables at baseball games toward the end of the 1800s, although Chris Von der Ahe (who owned the team that is now the St. Louis Cardinals) is frequently mentioned as a leading member of the vanguard.
Both of those men helped the MLB normalize the sale of refreshments inside its stadiums to the point where it became expected, and you’d be hard-pressed to attend any major sporting event where you don’t have plenty of offerings to pick from once you make your way inside the venue.
Hot dogs remain a staple of concession stand menus to this day, and in recent years, many baseball fans have attempted to push their stomachs to the limits by attempting the 9-9-9 Challenge, where you have nine innings to eat nine glizzies and drink nine beers.
There’s no real football equivalent, but UCF fans will still be able to gorge themselves while taking advantage of a promotion that’s managed to turn plenty of heads.

UCF made some waves on the stadium food front prior to the start of the current season with sword-shaped soft pretzels that are being served up at the Bounce House this year, but you need to have a ticket in a premium seating area to get your hands on one.
Thankfully, the Knights have decided to cater to the members of the proletariat for Saturday’s game against TCU, which features a ticket package that comes with a pass that grants you the right to “unlimited hot dogs.”

The promo includes a ticket to a seat in either Section 225 or 226, and the $64 price also covers all-you-can-eat hot dogs from a stand near Gate 12.
There is a slight catch, as you’re limited to two hot dogs per visit and will be cut off once halftime rolls around. However, that still seems like a pretty solid deal.
