The UFC betting scandal hasn’t quite cleared up yet as the investigations are ongoing. With that said, an update regarding the issue has come to light.

Jeff Molina, one of the fighters who was suspended is being given an extension of that suspension.

According to Nolan King, the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) has suspended UFC fighter Jeff Molina “for what it says is ‘substantial’ involvement in the ‘gaming scheme’ related to the James Krause Investigation.” This latest decision doesn’t look great for Krause.

Additionally, this very well could be the tip of the iceberg. Especially considering Krause reportedly worked with offshore sportsbooks, per ESPN. Jeff Molina even openly spoke about how accurate James Krause’s betting picks were. In Hindsight, Molina may have told on himself and Krause.

The suspended UFC fighter claimed, “The insight Krause has in this sport is insane. He’s trained with a lot of the fighters, lives and breathes this sport as a coach/fighter, & at times has the scoop on injuries — non-announced matchups — how fighters look like in camp, etc. In stocks, this is called insider trading in MMA betting it’s called James Krause. For the last 6 months, all my bills including [my] mortgage and car note have been paid via Krause’s picks. Do yourself a favor and join the VIP.”

It’s important to keep in mind that the investigations are ongoing and we may not receive any clear results for some time. Even so, this latest update hints at the direction in which the investigations are going.
