Sean Strickland has never been shy about what he says in front of a microphone.

But the UFC middleweight champion might want to clean up his phrasing a bit next time before he posts something online.

Strickland turned heads Wednesday when he asked UFC welterweight up-and-comer Ian Garry to “slide up in the DMs” after the two crossed paths at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.

“I went to the P.I. today and I ran into the f—— c— Ian Garry,” Strickland said. “Awkward, man, awkward. He looked at me hard, security had to escort us around, f——awkward s—I’m laughing my ass off. Anyway, Garry, I don’t f—— hate you, dude, I actually like you. I think you’re a f—— funny little dweeb. You make me f—– laugh.”

The incident came after Strickland referred to Garry’s wife to Layla Machado as a “sexual predator” in a tweet and claimed that something is wrong with the relationship.

Machado is 14 years Garry’s elder.

“I think you’re a dumbass f—— kid who got some p—- that was too good for him and it got in his head and it f—– you up,” Strickland continued. “It f—– you up. I look at you like a victim. I don’t want to fight you, bro. I’m happy for your success, I’m happy for you. But if you look at me hard and you’re feeling some kind of way that you need to get this s— f——- handled and you want to look at me hard and that’s what you want, slide up in the DMs, bro. I don’t want it, but if that’s what you want, you know where to find me, man.”

Now, it appears Strickland is asking Garry to challenge him to a fight. But that’s not exactly what a DM slide is now, is it?
