UFC 282 came and went and it didn’t hold back on the drama. Many were left confused after Paddy Pimblett was announced the winner over Jared Gordon.

On top of that, some fans aren’t too happy with how Pimblett is blindly taking credit for the win. Especially considering many had Gordon as the clear winner.

Now, it seems Paddy Pimblett is catching some heat from some UFC veterans. Matt Brown shared some choice words for the rising star. He even went as far as to say, “[Paddy]’s a social media professional. He’s an amateur fighter.”

Matt Brown’s been in the game long enough that he definitely has the right to critique other fighters. It’s no secret how big Pimblett has become so quickly in the UFC. He has a podcast with Barstool Sports, a massive social media following, and nearly everyone loves hearing what he has to say on the mic.

Regardless, he’s been able to walk the walk for the most part. This was the first time we’ve seen Paddy Pimblett struggle a bit, despite getting the win. For now, it’s unclear how far he can go, but he is genuinely confident in himself.

In the end, Matt Brown’s criticisms are fair. On the other hand, Pimblett has some work to do if he hopes to win a title one day. Keep an eye out for Paddy Pimblett to possibly respond to Brown.
