UFC’s Sean Strickland Faces Backlash From Mexican Fans Over Flag Comments

UFC’s Sean Strickland has found himself at the center of controversy once again.

During his time in the UFC, Strickland has been a lightnig rod while giving thoughts on controversial topics.

Ahead of his UFC 302 fight vs Paulo Costa, Strickland has now annoyed the Mexican UFC fanbase with his latest comments about seeing foreign flags in America.

“I’m so sick of seeing foreign flags in America..”

“I don’t get it. You left your corrupt country to come to the USA and yet you still rep what you fled?”

“The worst is Hispanics born in America flying a Mexican flag.. Where is your loyalty.. Just go back.. Enjoy your foreign flag.”

Strickland’s tweet generated more than one million impressions, and thousands of comments in the span of a few hours.

Hundreds of Mexican fans were in Strickland’s comments firing back at him.

This probably won’t be the last time Strickland will find himself in hot water ahead of his June 1st fight.
