An unsuspecting Auburn fan took a shot to the head on a field goal attempt during Saturday’s pregame warmups. The female onlooker never saw it coming.

Zoned out to the pregame action on the field, the Tiger supporter didn’t stand a chance. She wouldn’t receive much help from the crowd around her, either.

Auburn kickers took a few warmup snaps ahead of Saturday’s SEC matchup against Georgia, as they do before every game. A number of attendees arrived at Jordan-Hare Stadium early to grab their seats and take in the sights and sounds.

One viewer wound up in the danger zone, sitting directly behind the field goal post.

A protective net was not up during those warmups, and as a kick sailed through the uprights, the ball locked in on a target in the stands. Despite seeming to enter the crowd in slow motion, there wasn’t much reaction from those sitting in the endzone section.

That was especially true of the female Auburn fan sitting on the bleacher with absolutely no perception of what was going on around her.

Failing to look up until the literal last second, the field goal attempt drilled the attendee square in the noggin. Fans were quick to react to the headshot online.

“Gotta keep your head on a swivel,” one follower said.

“She took that like a champ, no way that didn’t hurt,” replied another.

“The guy in the hat missed a huge opportunity. Protect that girl. Good grief,” this fan commented.

Tough look for the Auburn fan, though it looks like she did a nice job of shaking it off. Unfortunately, she’d soon take another unwanted hit with the Tigers falling to Georgia, 27-20.
