There still appears to be beef between Team USA basketball and US Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles.
Last year, Lyles went viral when he mocked NBA players for crowning themselves as “world champions” despite not competing against teams around the world.
On Thursday afternoon, Lyles fell short of winning a gold medal in the 200M race after coming down with COVID this week.

On the same day that Lyles went down, Team USA Basketball won an epic game against Serbia to qualify for the gold medal game in Paris.
After the game, Team USA’s official Twitter account appeared to take a shot at Lyles with the caption, “We don’t play for Bronze.”
We don't play for Bronze.

Here’s how fans reacted to Team USA’s tweet.
The Noah Lyles vs. NBA might be the best beef going in Olympics lol. We stay infighting as a country https://t.co/ijm5h5SkWH
